The 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) has taken place in Shanghai. Since the inaugural CIIE, Bluestar has been a steadfast participant. Bluestar’s subsidiaries, Elkem and Adisseo, have continued to explore new pathways for industrial development with global partners on the CIIE 8.0 stage.

On November 6, Yang Shihao, Vice President of Sinochem Holdings, visited the CIIE exhibition halls, stopping by the booths of Elkem, Adisseo, and other overseas enterprises of Sinochem Holdings. He learned about each enterprise’s exhibition effectiveness, listened to introductions on featured products, and engaged in in-depth discussions with staff at the booths.
Elkem
This year, Elkem partnered with KraussMaffei based on the theme “Silicone ? Plastic Transformation, Leading the Future,” showcasing how innovations in silicone materials empower diverse industries and reshape value across four key sectors: “Future Technology,” “Smart Mobility,” “Better Living,” and “Smart Cities.”

In response to China’s “AI+” initiative, Elkem is delivering customized and reliable silicone solutions that provide all-scenario support for embodied intelligence, driving AI from the virtual world into the physical realm. Focusing on key needs, such as protection and thermal management of electric drive systems, heat dissipation for high-performance microelectronic components, and joint actuation and tactile sensing, Elkem has built a comprehensive materials portfolio covering a wide range of applications, which lays a solid foundation for the intelligent era through technological innovation. Meanwhile, to address the growing thermal challenges facing? intelligent computing centers, Elkem’s immersion cooling technology ensures their stable and efficient operation.
In the healthcare sector, Elkem’s high-performance silicone solutions for medical applications are providing essential material support for implantable medical devices and advanced drug delivery systems, thanks to their outstanding biocompatibility and long-term stability. These innovative materials meet strict safety requirements for long-term implantation in the human body, and inject new momentum into the development of both wearable medical devices and precision medicine.
At the exhibition, Elkem officially launched the world’s first specialty silicone rubber series for biopharmaceutical applications, including SILBIONE? RTV 4140 CLR, which designed specifically for in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) biochips, and SILBIONE? BLD 8010, a high-performance silicone elastomer for wound care.?
In the personal care segment, Elkem targets pain points of teenager skincare area and launches a range of market-leading products, including oil-control moisturizers, high-efficiency sunscreens, and concealing base makeup. These products protect youthful skin with innovative formulas that are natural, refreshing, and highly effective.
In response to the global low-carbon trend, Elkem leverages its Sircle? circular silicone portfolio, bio-based materials and recycled materials. This approach not only maintains product quality, but also reduces reliance on fossil resources, and lowers the carbon footprint across the product lifecycle. In the new energy sector, Elkem’s material solutions span critical areas, such as battery encapsulation and charging systems. In the construction sector, Elkem addresses multiple ranges of high-performance, eco-friendly sealing products that support sustainable industry development.
Adisseo
Based on “Big Food Concept” and “Digital-Driven”, Adisseo? showcased at the CIIE a comprehensive suite of core solutions spanning four key stages - feed ingredients, feed processing, animal farming, and food processing.

The one-stop service platform MycoMan offers a field-to-feed comprehensive, full-value-chain solution for mycotoxin management. It provides customers with a range of services, such as mycotoxin risk assessment, intervention strategies, customized recommendations, and a global mycotoxin prevalence map. Relevant products including Unike, Mycotoxin Detoxifier, and Mycotoxin Detoxifier Plus, meet different needs of mycotoxin control and ensure the feed quality from the source.?
In the feed processing sector, leveraging decades of research expertise, Adisseo has developed a data-driven platform loaded with the Precision Nutrition Evaluation (PNE) system and the Feed Digestibility Calculator (FDC), which enhances the accuracy of nutritional assessment, enables smarter formula optimization, and improves energy utilization efficiency.
Adisseo showed a lineup of flagship products, reaffirming its commitment to providing high-quality food for humans through safe, economical, and sustainable approaches. Its nutritional additives, liquid methionine Rhodimet? AT88, the full range of vitamins under the Microvit? brand, and feed efficiency enhancers including Rovabio? and Nutri-Lyso?, provide robust support for animal health and production performance.?
Palatability enhancers designed for the unique needs and life stages of ruminants significantly improve feed intake and taste, effectively addressing issues related to reduced feed consumption under various conditions. Selisseo? and MetaSmart? not only promote animal health but also enhance the quality of animal products. Supplementing livestock diets with Selisseo? contributes to selenium enrichment in meat, eggs, and milk, helping residents in selenium-deficient regions improve their selenium intake through their diet. MetaSmart?, meanwhile, boosts milk yield as well as protein and fat content.
Rooted in innovation and guided by sustainability, Bluestar, a full-attendance exhibitor at the CIIE for eight consecutive years, continues to empower global customers through professional solutions and industry chain synergy, and lead the way toward a low-carbon future.
